Sherry over at young house love and Katie over at Bowerpower have whipped up the third pinterest challenge. The idea of this project is to get you to stop pinning and to finally do a project.

I saw this picture through pinterest and I’ve been wanting to do it for a while now. The original post is here. Instead of either of our dogs (I have no good pictures yet) I have chosen a picture of my cat. I have plans to hang four pictures (Oliver the cat, Thomas the cat, Pepper the dog and Bella the dog) together in the hallway.
My supplies for this project were a 10 x 10 canvas and yellow paint that I purchased at JoAnn Fabrics. It was $5.39 with a 40% off coupon and the canvas was on sale. Wooo hooo. Ya can’t beat that!!
First I went to my computer and printed off this image. I caught Oliver and Thomas checking out a squirrel and making chirping noises at it.

Then I cut it out, taped it to the canvas and traced around the picture.
Take off the image and this is what you get.
Next I painted the outside area yellow and Oliver in white. I don’t know why I bothered painting it white because it was already white.

All done!!! That was so easy! I absolutely love it!

Have you done this before? What have you used for your silhouette?
I love it! What a fun color. Thanks so much for linking up to my post…so glad you found inspiration!!

Karah thank you so much. I think the other three will be done in bright colors as well. How did you find this post if you don’t mind me asking. Did you get a.notification that I linked to you?
I love kitty art, epically when it’s inspired by your own! I made some painting for my little kittens (I can still call them that right?) about a year ago. I smile every time I see them. Great job!
Nikki
You can call them that. Thank you so much for your comment. It was so easy to make.
I think I might have to do this with my babies! I love the state silhouettes that hang in our entry room (that I did, coincidentally, for the first Pinterest challenge). So fun and easy!
I will have to check that out.
So cute! I pinned pet silhouettes forever ago, and still haven’t gotten around to doing it yet.(I made pillows this go around) Love the kitty!
This is so sweet. I’ve been wanting to do some silhouette art of my pets too, but haven’t got around to it yet. Thanks for the inspiration!
Cool! I love that you used such a graphic color for this. Great job, and thanks for linking up with the Winter Pinterest Challenge!
